Lost Girls (2020) is a movie based on a true story. A mother is searching for her missing daughter and revisits multiple unsolved cases along the way.

It’s thought-provoking and eery throughout the movie. There are some scenes that put you on the edge of your seat. At the ending of the day, it dials in on the marginalized groups of society and how poorly they are represented during investigations. And above all, how little most care about their stories and outcomes. It’s a heart wrenching true story and a must-see!

Pros: An excellent story with an outcome you might not expect.

Cons: The story is great – but maybe a little slow for some that aren’t inherently interested in movies about crime.
